Lori Sciame teaches English at the University of Wisconsin – Janesville campus. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and has been published in national magazines, including Guideposts and Angels on Earth.

In addition, she has worked in the field of prevention for 20 years, with both city and county health departments, as a health educator. Recently she helped write a successful federal Drug-Free Community Grant for her hometown, which resulted in a million dollars over a ten year period – all devoted to helping make sure local youth stay drug/alcohol free.

Another passion of Sciame’s is music. She has visited Motown in Detroit, Sun Studios in Memphis, Capitol Records in Hollywood, the Grand Old Opry in Nashville, and Bourbon Street in New Orleans…to name a few.

Sciame began as a writer for the WMG team a year ago, and now she writes and serves as an Associate Editor.
