Mackenzie has been a member of the Wasabi writing team since June of 2011.He is a student at Loyola University New Orleans majoring in Political Science, and minoring in History and Asian Studies. In addition to his studies, he is a member of the Executive Board of the Loyola University Community Action Program, and frequently volunteers in the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans. This past fall he organized and led a mission trip to Joplin, Missouri, in an effort to rebuild the city after the devastating May 2011 tornado.
His passions are law, learning, languages, and leadership in extracurricular activities. This spring and summer, he will be studying Comparative Law and Government at Chukyo University in Nagoya, Japan, with the hopes of one day earning a joint degree in International Law and Japanese Relations. The amazing food, Southern hospitality, warm winters, and endless amounts of music venues keep Mackenzie continually busy at his Louisiana home.
