Snow, Snow, and More Snow

by Michele Pesula Kuegler on February 2nd, 2011

Living in the Greater Boston area, I know to expect cold temperatures and snow in the winter.  However, with snowstorms occurring on a weekly basis, it has become tedious.  The first snow of the winter elicits smiles and sighs of, “How pretty!”  By now, though, the snowstorms are wearing on most New Englanders.  Kids are out of school at least once a week, cars are covered in snow and salt, the roads are treacherous, both during and after the storms.

While my work can be completed remotely on a snowy day, there are many others who are stuck at home for the day.  For others, their children, who initially were excited by the thought of a snow day, now are bored with being home. . .again.  So, what can you do on a day, such as this, when you are stuck at home?  Entertain yourself with some great reading material,  and try one of these suggestions for home entertainment.

  • Have a cat?  How about trying a new way to bathe Fluffy?  All you need is some oatmeal, a little patience, and a cat.  If you want to give it a try, here are some suggestions.
  • Share your technology knowledge.  One of our writers is in the process of purchasing a new laptop and is seeking feedback from our readers.  Leave a comment, and help her decide.
  • Start composting for your garden.  Although summer may seem far away, now is the time to start preparing for the flowers and produce you will be growing.

Even though the groundhog predicted that there will be an early spring, the view from my window says otherwise.  So, when you’re trapped inside your home and cabin fever becomes prevalent, give Wasabi Media Group a peek.  We probably have something to engage your mind.
